Finally...I know! Well these are some of the before pictures. We painted and decorated before we moved in. It took forever. I am trying to keep my house clean long enough to take after pictures to post. I will do that soon.
This is a picture of my living room. I was standing in the small hallway leading to the kitchen. We painted a orangy-beige on the walls except for the one accent wall we painted forest green.obviously that is our front door. We had some of shaylyn's bedroom furniture in the living room while we did her room so ignore the white furniture.
This is still the living room but this picture shows the accent wall and the hallway leading to the bathroom. I am going to ( when I can afford it) order from my friend Beth who does uppercase living. i am going to get the wall sticker that says "Family" and put it on the top of my accent wall and then hang some white photo frames with some black and white pictures in them.
This was the master bedroom that we decided to give to our boys and we took the larger back room. If you look at the picture above you can see the entrance to shaylyn's room and the boy's room is to the left if Shaylyn's.We painted the same orangy-beige from the living room in their room too. We decided to do an accent wall with the blue which matches the boys comforter sets. When it was done it came out so nice.It looks ven better with the boys furniture in it. Once again ignore the furniture in their room. This was actually shaylyn's tall dresser and Cr and My long dresser. We just had not move it to our rooms yet.
This last picture is of Shaylyn's room not even close to being finished. We had only put the primer on at this point and I taped the border on just to get an idea of where we wanted it. We ended up doing a two tone room for her. We did a dark purple on the bottom of the wall and a lighter purple on the top. We then seperated the two with the princess ribbon border. Her room is all girl and very beautiful.

House Renovations/ Painting
Fire Station
In July the boys from Chace's Church pack went to visit the local firestation. It was a seriously awesome time. The firefighters were so good to the kids. They talked all about fire safety and answered a million questions with smiles on the whole time. They got to see wheret he fireman slept and hear the alarm go off. It is amazing how loud it is...you certainly can't sleep through it. They showed us the inside of the trucks and set off the sirens and lights for us. They even showed us what they wear and the captain put his suit on for us even in the 90 degree outdoor heat. I thought that was awesome. One of the firefighters had a great time making funny faces with the kids too. I love seeing the firefighters interact with the boys. I appreciate everything they do for us to keep us safe. 9-11 WE'LL NEVER FORGET!!!!
CR's Birthday
Ok More from June! Cr had a birthday on June 12th and we decided to throw dad a little surprise party of our own. Makai loved blowing up the balloons and putting them on the chairs. Shaylyn helped me make the dessert and dinner and Chace helped put up the banner.Daddy was very excited and surprised when he got home because his birthday was the same week as Cub camp and he thought we would be too tired or not have the time to do anything for his birthday. SURPRISE DADDY!! Happy Belated Blog Birthday Daddy. We love you.
Cub Scout Day Camp
Ok..so to continue the catch up....Also in June we had our Cub Scout Day camp. We love day camp because it gives us something to do all day long. Shaylyn even got to go and play with the other staff members toddlers annd daughters. They did all kinds of activities at day camp. We had archery, Water play, BB gun shooting, songs, skits, games, crafts, nature hikes and tons of other stuff. Makai is a tiger cub this year which is great because he is an official scout now instead of just being a sibling and he is beyond thrilled about that. I loved watching him have so much fun. Chace is now a bear which he has been so excited about this year.I guess bears are cooler than wolves. anyway enjoy the pics.
Shaylyn's toddler group did a song/skit about Mrs. Gooniebird and her chicks.
Chace and Makai getting their badges and awards at the end of camp
This is Ranger Rick teaching the tigers how to aim and shoot the BB Gun. ( This is the tigers first year doing it so he took extra time with them. He made the boys laugh by telling them to put their butt on their shoulder. He meant the butt of the gun but it was funny just the same.)
Chace and the Water Play area
Chace and his flags on from Flag Football
Makai and his Marshmallow Blaster. You put a marshmallow in it and blow it out and it flies several feet in the air. It is actually quite cool. We had a good time blasting marshmallows at each other in our back yard with dad that night. Of course Dad was the one who loved it the most. I guess moms and dads just never really grow up.
This was a picture of all the toddlers practicing thei mrs. gooniebird song/skit.
this is the other tiger scout. Heath and Makai.
WE lOVE ARCHERY!!!!!
RANGER RICK DID PUSHUPS FOR ANY BOY WHO COULD HIT THE BULLSEYE...HE DID A LOT OF PUSHUPS. EVEN FOR THE TIGERS!!!

Playing catch up..Kennendy Space Center
Finally I know!!!In JUNE!!we went to the Kennedy Space Center with Chace and his Scout pack. We had a great time.We went to few shows and got to see a cool 3D movie in the I-max theatre. The kids really liked that although it was a bit long for Shaylyn(45 minutes). After the show we went to another area with model shuttles and an actual large out of service shuttle. Those were cool. We got to actually walk through one of the shuttles. We also had the priveledge of meeting an astronaut. He was a retired astronaut but he was so funny. We also got to stick our heads in an astronaut board and see what it would be like to be an astronaut. We went to a show about mars and the robots that would be exploring mars to see if someday we could live on Mars. They had a mock station and everything. Overall it was a very good day.
Makai Said, "Hey Mom I can hear the shuttle in here!=)"
New Baby!!!!!
We would like to introduce everyone to our new baby....Murphy! She is a Goldador which is a cross between a Golden Retreiver and a Labrador. She is 6 months old and she came to us from a family that could no longer care for her. We love her already. She fits right into our family. She is very stubborn! She gets that from Cr's side of the family. When we first got her we were reading all about her from the other family and we found out something very special about her that really tells us she was meant for us. Her birthday is February 6, 2008...which is the exact day of Cr and my 9th wedding anniversary. Amazing huh. Anyway we will tell everyone all about her in upcoming blogs as we get to know her and all her quirks.
This is our Murphy chilling in the Library!!!
